LA Bella Italia - Thursday 16 November 2017

Join us at South West Rocks, to watch the iconic Italian movie La Dolce Vita. Our host, Andrew Mercado will introduce the showing and share his insights and enthusiasm for this landmark film, its history and the social background to its creation.

La Bella ItaliaThe 1960 comedy/drama (with subtitles) follows Marcello Rubini, a journalist writing for a gossip magazine, over 7 days and nights on his journey through the ‘sweet life’ of Rome, in his search for love and happiness. Directed by Frederico Fellini, this remains one of the most critically acclaimed films of all time, and stars Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekburg.

There will be lucky seat prizes, and an intermission for tea, coffee or choc-tops. (And what’s a movie without choc-tops!) Then share in an Italian lunch of pizza and garlic bread supplied by Felicita bella italia

Finish up with cannoli, that ultra-delicious Italian dessert of cannoli prepared by Amber from Nambucca’s Wharf Street Café, plus tea and coffee.

The event starts at 10:00 am at the Roxy Cinema, 1 Gregory Street, South West Rocks. Why not consider car-pooling so that you can enjoy each other’s company from door to door?
